Halloween Calendar swap layout and calendar

Isn't the finished Halloween Swap Calendar delightful? Can you just see everyone's creativity shining through those little calendar pieces? Just love it. I changed the way I am putting the pieces on just a wee bit. But basically I am following the layout below. I think if you enlarge the layout below you'll be able to read the names of the creators of the wonderful pieces...

..........Stacy and I are actively getting ready for the Christmas Advent Calendar swap. Those people in the Halloween swap are guaranteed a spot first and then we will open it up to other parties that might be interested. Stay tuned, you know it will be fun. We had lunch at DML today and picked out paper and got our layout!

Don't forget to scroll down to Monday's post and sign up to win a tassel on Between Naps on the Porch blog and mine.. and no, I'm not giving the pumpkin tassel away.. but you will like it!

Have fun and Be Creative -

Happy Monday! do you like Tassels??

I've got a treat to share with all y'all today. Hop on over to the Between Naps on the Porch blog, check out the delicious tassels and leave a comment for a chance to win one! Then go to the Tassel House, do some shopping, pick your favorite, go back to Between Naps on the Porch and leave another comment with a link to your favorite one for a second chance to win.. If you can guess which tassel is my favorite, leave a post here, then I will choose the first person to guess correctly and send you some "blog candy" too.

This tassel is from the Tassel House, is for sale on that website and is not the blog candy giveaway! Isn't it adorable?

Creative Paper Concepts - September QK Club

This month we will be creating a folder that can either be sewn (as pictured) or simply adhered with faux stitching on the outsides. We are using a new QK tree border die and another smaller leaf die. There will be multiple inked accents, a few brads, some ribbon and a bit more real or faux stitching.

There is an insert to the folder which holds additional photos and journaling. Titles are up to you, but I would strongly suggest using the new QK harvest font. It's scrumptious!
Supplies:
6 sheets Designer Paper;I used 6 different sheets of the Basic Grey Scarlet Letter collection for the sample
corner rounder
2" circle punch
Chestnut Roan Colorbox cat's eye ink pad
Frayed Burlap Distress Ink
sponge dauber
Distress flourish stamp
Black brush pen for outlining
Optional: pale gray marking pen for highlighting leaf veins
American Crafts premium rayon zigzag ribbon
QK scroll tree border die
QK maple leaf from Canada set or the revolution leaves die
QK revolution or epic
adhesive runner
Mono Aqua Adhesive

Another QK Club update

As we were packing the contents of DML last night, I realized that the new store will have TWO classrooms. Join with me while I relish in this Duh! moment.

So guess what? We are still going to have QK club in September, albeit one week later than usual. How does September 26 at 10am fit into your schedules? I hope much better than the first week in October. See you the at the new store.

Here's the club teaser: I hold your memories. I am both positive and negative. I am be-leafed (not really a word i know!) and be-ribboned. I can be stitched or not. But whatever, I am creatively yours!

something fun since it is football season!

Want to see how things have changed - and how they've remained the same?
Watch this promo video for Texas Technological College. Wasn't a University back then!

updates

Sorry sorry, finally migrated to the new computer. Forgot how hard that really is. So I'll be more productive here too, but probably not until after 9/26/09. Promise.

You are probably looking for the QK club project. We had to move the club date and I'm sure it conflicts with everyone's calendar. Sorry about that too. September's club will be October 3, 2009,; 10-noon. October club will be on schedule October 17! The October club will feature one layout two ways, one for those of us who love Halloween, and one for those of us into Fall Festivals...
